PITTSBURGH – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District is alerting campers that the Mill Creek Campground at Berlin Lake re-open with limited services effective July 20 at 12 p.m. and will remain open through September 6.

The campground will honor campers with reservations already logged in the National Recreation Reservation Service system (www.recreation.gov) and will accept a limited number of new reservations, allowing for up to 100 reservations per day. However, walk-in camping will not be available during the rest of this season.

Campers should be aware that due to ongoing issues with the campground sewage transmission system, showers will be limited to only the Buckeye camping area facility and portable toilets will meet the majority of the restroom needs. In addition, the campground dump station will remain offline until further notice.

The district recognizes the inconvenience this limited service may cause to the public who planned to visit the campground during the season. Anyone with existing reservations who wish to cancel because of the facilities reduction may contact NRRS and request a full refund. Anyone who has trouble obtaining a refund can contact Berlin Lake at 330-547-3801 for assistance.

As previously noted, Mill Creek Boat Launch will remain open throughout the season, water levels permitting. Additionally, the Mill Creek Day Use Area is still open to the public.
