District bids farewell to its deputy

In the presence of family, friends and coworkers, Lt. Col. Christopher Riemer, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District deputy commander, bids farewell to his 20-plus year military career at a retirement luncheon, June 13.
 During the luncheon, held at the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh, Pa., Riemer received his retirement certificate and numerous awards from Col. Bernard Lindstrom and other district leadership.

Riemer joined the Pittsburgh District as the Deputy District Commander on June 28, 2011. He is a 1994 graduate from the United States Military Academy and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri and a certified Project Management Professional. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Arts in Theater Operations from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College School of Advanced Military Studies.

 

LTC Riemer is a native of Kings Park, NY and is married with four children.
