Progress Update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District has revised both the Tygart Lake Master Plan and Shoreline Management Plan. The Master Plan guides the use of government-owned and leased lands around the lake. The Shoreline Management Plan aims to protect and manage the shoreline in a way that promotes safe and healthful use, while maintaining environmental safeguards to ensure a quality resource for use by the public.

Update (as of October 2020): With your help, we have completed our update of the Tygart Lake Master Plan, Shoreline Management Plan, and the joint Environmental Assessment (EA). Thank you to everyone who participated during the scoping and public comment periods. The updated documents have been placed here on this website for your access.
