Corps advises mariners of Emsworth primary lock chamber closure

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District is announcing that Emsworth Lock and Dam, located on the Ohio River at mile 6.2, will initiate a closure of the primary lock chamber for scheduled repairs.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District is advising mariners that scheduled maintenance is ongoing at Maxwell Locks and Dam on the Monongahela River.

To minimize COVID-19 exposure to the Corps’ workforce and the public, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District has reduced staffing and operating hours at two Allegheny River locks until further notice.
