Don’t send your live-cut Christmas tree to the trash after the holidays. Donate it to the Christmas Tree Recycling Program sponsored by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Youghiogheny River Lake. In January 2014, Rangers Matthew Pook, Steve Rutkowski, and Student Matt Blake, partnered with Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) to place recycled Christmas trees on the lakeshore. The trees were recyled into fish habitats.
