Oakdale Workshop

WHO: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District (USACE)

WHAT: The Pittsburgh District is hosting a flood-proofing workshop for community officials and homeowners. Representatives from USACE and PA Emergency Management Agency (PEMA ) will present information on flood proofing structures and homes including information on grant programs, insurance options and more.   

WHERE: Oakdale Community Center located at 104 Seminary Avenue, Oakdale, PA 15071

WHEN:  4 to 7 p.m., July 17, 2018

Bradys Bend Workshops

WHERE: Bradys Bend Township Municipal Building, 1004 State Route 68, East Brady, PA 16028

When: July 18 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. for community officials

                                  7 to 9 p.m. for homeowners

WHY: The workshops are designed to educate community officials and homeowners on various types of nonstructural flood proofing techniques and to provide information on floodplain management topics including insurance options and grant programs. Federal and State agency representatives will be giving presentations on flood proofing topics and will be available to answer questions.

 

Note: These are free events and open to the public; space is limited and registration is required. Please see enclosed flyers for registration information. (The Brady Bend workshop requires two different registrations for community officials and homeowners; please ensure you are filling out the proper registration.)
