The Army Corps of Engineers’ Stonewall Jackson Lake will host a Public Safety Day on June, 9 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The event will celebrate our public safety partners within the community and inform the public about what these agencies do. The event will also provide awareness, information and demonstrations that will inform public importance of safety.
The event will showcase emergency vehicles and equipment, with live demonstrations and hands on activities. The public will also be able to meet and greet fire, police, and other public safety professionals.
Some of the agencies attending the event include: the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, the Weston Volunteer Fire Department, West Virginia State Police, Lewis County Animal Control, Lewis County Emergency Medical Services, Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital and the WV Dept. of Forestry, USDA Animal Damage Section, WV Dept. of Natural Resources Wildlife Section and many others.
