The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that beginning Jan. 1, 2016, the recreation day use fees charged for boat launches and swimming beaches managed by USACE will change to a simpler fee structure. The fee for a USACE annual pass to these facilities will also change.

Upper Allegheny Locks to open on weekends and holidays

The Pittsburgh District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is notifying recreational boaters that the Upper Allegheny locks will be open this summer. Through a partnership with the Allegheny River Development Corporation, the Corps will be able to open Allegheny Locks 6-9 beginning this weekend and continuing each weekend through June 28.
