The MP update, which was last updated in 1976, will affect future use of natural resources and recreational activities at Mahoning Creek Lake for the next 25 years.

    The Corps of Engineers is hosting a public meeting to discuss the progress and activities of its East Branch Dam Safety Project. The goal of the public meeting is to provide an update about the Dam Safety Project, progress of construction, local emergency planning activities, lake levels and the East Branch Lake facilities to give the community the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.
  • East Branch Boaters: Launch Ramp Expected to Close

    The East Branch Dam boat launch ramp will close August 15 due to falling lake levels. The ramp will be closed to trailered vessels, however the lake will remain open to hand-carried boats such as kayaks and canoes.
  • Low Pool Level at Loyalhanna Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Loyalhanna Lake will be holding the pool elevation lower than the typical summer level due to construction.
