  • Flood Proofing Workshops in Three Western PA Locations

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District Silver Jackets team and Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency will host three, regional, nonstructural workshops in the Western Pennsylvania area for the purpose of achieving community flood risk reduction and awareness. The workshops are scheduled to be held in Pittsburgh, Butler and Erie, Pa., on April 4, 5 and 6, respectively.

  • Army Corps studying alternatives for upper Allegheny, Monongahela navigation facilities

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District has initiated a study to look at alternatives for the future of low commercial use navigation facilities on the upper Allegheny and Monongahela rivers near Pittsburgh, Pa. and Morgantown, W.Va., respectively.
