    Col. Czekanski takes command of Pittsburgh District

    Col. Adam J. Czekanski became the 56th commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District through a traditional Army change of command ceremony held at the Senator John Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, July 29.

    In the presence of family, friends and coworkers, Lt. Col. Christopher Riemer, U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District deputy commander, bids farewell to his 20-plus year military career at a retirement luncheon, June 13. During the luncheon, held at the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh, Pa., Riemer received his retirement certificate and numerous awards from Col. Bernard Lindstrom and other district leadership.
