Progress Update

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Pittsburgh District is revising the Stonewall Jackson Lake Master Plan. The Master Plan guides the use of government-owned and leased lands around the lake.

Update (as of February 16, 2021): With your help, we have completed our scoping phase and have prepared a draft updated Master Plan and Environmental Assessment (EA), which are now ready for public review.

Review the documents posted to the website to see what changes we are recommending for Stonewall Jackson Lake. You're invited to submit your comment on those documents during the public comment period, ending March 25, 2021.

February 2021 Plan Drafts & 30-Day Public Review

You're invited to submit a public comment on the February 2021 drafts of the revised Master Plan on or before March 25, 2021.

To learn about what changes we are recommending for the future of Stonewall Jackson Lake, you can review the documents in the "Review Relevant Documents" section of the website. You will find both the original Master Plan as well as the proposed updated version and its associated Environmental Assessment available for review. Drafts of the proposed plan are also available to view at the Stonewall Jackson Lake Visitor Center located at 1012 Skin Creek Rd Weston, WV, 26452. Visitor Center hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM-3:30 PM. While closed to regular visitation on the weekends, limited access will also be granted to the Visitor Center on Saturday and Sunday, 7:30-12:00 PM for anyone interested in reviewing the draft documents (as of February 16, 2021).
